By using INGEN, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

For users in the European Union, we are the data controller for personal data processed by INGEN. For users in Australia, we are an APP entity under the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
When you create an account, we collect your email address, full name (optional), and account preferences. This information is required to provide the service.
To generate your natal chart, we collect your full name as recorded at birth, date of birth, time of birth (optional), and city and country of birth. Birth data is sensitive. It is collected for the sole purpose of natal chart calculation and is subject to additional protections described in our Birth Data Handling Notice.
During your use of INGEN, we collect your responses to daily check-ins, Integration Checks, NIX induction responses, Oracle Verdict outcomes, and session interaction data (which screens you visit, how long you spend, what you tap).
INGEN generates and stores psychological profile data derived from your inputs and natal data, including: Pattern Type, attachment style indicators, values hierarchy, NIX Stage 3 and 4 responses, Shadow I AM statements, and GAP Index history. This data is treated as sensitive personal information. It is encrypted at rest and is never used for advertising.
We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your full card details. Stripe provides us with a payment token and basic billing information. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
We collect IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, and session data for security and service improvement purposes.
We do not use your personal data to train AI models for any purpose other than providing INGEN's services to you. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Practitioners. If you grant a certified INGEN Practitioner access to your data, they will have read access to your GAP Index, Pattern Type, I AM statements, and Oracle data. You can revoke this access at any time from Settings → Connected practitioners.
Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of INGEN, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If INGEN is acquired or its assets transferred, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you and you will have the opportunity to delete your data before transfer.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted. If you request account deletion, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated data may be retained longer for service improvement purposes.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and make a complaint. Contact: privacy@ingenapp.com. If not satisfied, contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, object to processing of, and port your personal data. You may also withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at privacy@ingenapp.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion, and opt out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
Data export. You can request a complete export of your INGEN data at any time from Settings → Privacy and data.
Account deletion. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy and data → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate INGEN. Essential cookies are required for the service to function. Analytics cookies (PostHog) help us understand usage — you can decline them. Payment cookies (Stripe) are used on payment pages only. Full details at ingenapp.com/cookies.
INGEN operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Australia, including the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer data outside Australia to countries without equivalent privacy protections, we use Standard Contractual Clauses and Data Processing Agreements to protect your data.
INGEN is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Contact privacy@ingenapp.com if you believe we have collected information from someone under 18.
Birth data is subject to special handling. See our dedicated Birth Data Handling Notice for specific detail on how birth data is collected, stored, accessed, and deleted.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by notice within the application. Continued use of INGEN after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
